I like it. I like it better than facebook - with the drawback being that many of my friends have not made the switchover yet, and those of us who have still have facebook open simultaneously, so i’m still using facebook more heavily, because I feel a little bit (ok, very) silly posting to the 6 people I have on g+…
R and I figured out this morning that no matter how much I went about hiding my e-mail address, he could still view it on the mobile site from his iPhone. After much back and forth, and deleting all the cache from his iPhone every time I changed a setting… we figured it out. The person who invited you can always see your e-mail address from the mobile version of the site - either as an oversighted fluke, or by intention.
So, if anybody out there is looking for HOW TO HIDE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS ON GOOGLE+ … go to your profile, click “edit profile” towards the upper right corner, then click the little globe or circle icon or lock icon that appears next to the words “send an e-mail” (found on the left side of the screen under your portrait)… and then adjust your settings in that menu. And if the person you’re testing it out with can still see your e-mail address, and that person is the same person who sent you your initial invitation, bingo.
