King’s Crossing
Since there’s no hope of finding “new” or “recent” interviews or songs or live performances by Elliott, I like to look up covers, and I like to look at this site where people write what their interpretations of the songs are.
Today I was looking at the interpretations for “King’s Crossing”… here’s an excerpt from someone’s interpretation. I find it to be well stated.
”The question isn’t whether or not the song is ‘about drugs’. Of course it is. But the question should be: what’s he trying to say about drugs? They’re taking over his Christmas, his personal relationships. In short, to use his own imagery, they’re fucking him.”
